Barcelona are eyeing up a quartet of free transfers in the summer, with Jonathan David, Alphonso Davies, Jonathan Tah and Reinildo Mandava all on their radar.

All four players are into the final years of their contracts and unless deals can be done, will be able to move elsewhere on free transfers at the end of the current season.

The Daily Mail report that Barcelona are keen on all four men, and with finances still a serious issue at the Camp Nou, the Spanish giants are looking at the best value deals for next summer.

There will be plenty of competition for the players, though, with Premier League sides linked with all four of them over recent months.

Manchester United has been touted as a possible destination for all four, while Chelsea have been credited with interest in David and Tah.

Arsenal have also been linked with Lille striker David, with the 24-year-old enjoying another prolfiic season so far after an impressive stint in France since joining from Gent in 2020.

The Canada international has already scored eight goals in 13 games and is on course to beat the tally of 26 which he has reached in each of the last two seasons.

David has suggested that he could extend his stay with Lille, but there is interest from the Premier League and it will surely be difficult for the French side to keep hold of him in the long-term.

‘Right now, we’re speaking with (Lille president) Olivier Létang about a possible extension,’ he told The Athletic last month. ‘We’ll see how that goes.

‘I’m open to anything. I think obviously the Premier League is regarded as one of the best leagues in the world. And for me, it’s not the Premier League or bust. I’m open to anything and every league has its challenges.’

Fellow Canada international Davies has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid but Manchester United are likely to be in the hunt for him if he does indeed leave Bayern next year.

Left-back has proved a problem position for the Red Devils due to numerous injury problems for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

This has also seen them linked with 30-year-old Atletico Madrid full-back Mandava, who could be another option to slot in on the left of defence.

28-year-old Germany international Tah will be hot property if he leaves Bayer Leverkusen, as expected, with clubs in Italy, England, Germany and Spain all interested.

Juventus, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and now Barcelona have all been credited with an interest in the experienced centre-back.

The 6’5″ defender will be in a very strong position in contract negotiations next year.

Tah came very close to leaving Leverkusen for Bayern Munich over the summer after agreeing personal terms but the clubs never came to terms on a transfer fee so he will play his last season with the champions before leaving on a free, unless there is a dramatic turnaround.
