DWTS’ Gleb Savchencko breaks silence on co-star Artem Chigvintsev’s shock domestic violence arrest --[Reported by Umva mag]

DANCING With The Stars’ Gleb Savchencko has broken his silence on co-star Artem Chigvintsev’s shock domestic violence arrest.

The U.S Sun confirmed that the professional dancer, 42, was arrested in Napa County, California, last month, after paramedics were called to a property.

According to TMZ, Artem – who is married to WWE star Nikki Bella, 40 – was booked on domestic battery charges on August 29.

Ahead of the return of the brand new season of Dancing With The Stars, Gleb recently spoke about his friend in a very good light.

Gleb told E! News: “He’s part of the family.

“He’s such a great dancer that people don’t realize.

“He’s the quality. It’s not about quantity, it’s about the quality.”

Gleb added: “He’s just my brother and I love him and positivity.”

Latin dancer Artem is not taking part in the upcoming season, however, Gleb will be returning with Brooks Nader.

Last week it was revealed Nikki filed for divorce after he was accused of domestic abuse.

She went to court on September 11 to file the paperwork, according to TMZ

Artem has since broken his silence and responded to the divorce by filing his own documents.

Last month a 911 call was made by Artem around 8:30 AM PST to report a “medical emergency” at his home.

When they were on their way, he called back and cancelled the help, but he was arrested at the scene when the police arrived.

The Dancing With The Stars favourite was arrested for felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant for allegedly attacking Nikki.

In recent weeks Nikki has been seen without a wedding ring on.

The former couple celebrated their wedding anniversary just days before the arrest.

Artem was on Strictly Come Dancing as a professional dancer between 2010 and 2014.

He joined Dancing with The Stars in 2014 and has been in 12 seasons.

Artem and Nikki met in 2017 when they were paired up together on the ABC show.

Nikki, real name Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace, is a retired professional wrestler – who is one half of the Bella twins.

They tied the knot in 2022.

The former couple share one son together.
