Wet weather has caused trouble across the UK rail network after flooding turned tracks into rivers.

Heavy downpours overnight and this morning led to flooding on railway tracks in Hampshire and Surrey.

Great Western Railway trains between Reading and Gatwick Airport face delays and cancellations after the track became waterlogged, causing up to 30-minute hold-ups.

The disruption is expected to last at least until 3pm. South Western Railway has organised replacement buses between Guildford and Aldershot in both directions, National Rail said.

Elsewhere, passengers travelling on Thameslink and Southeastern trains should brace themselves for lengthy delays as issues on several rail routes look set to continue well into the afternoon.

If your journey is delayed by more than 15 minutes, you might be able to claim delay repay compensation. Scroll down to find out more.
