The TV star – who has opened up on her hidden health battle in recent years – then plays golf to unwind. Talking about a typical day in her life, Naga – married to TV director James Haggar –  said: “My first alarm is at 3.45 and I’m in the BBC Breakfast studio by 4.50. “I’m a terrible prevaricator. As a kid, my mum would have to physically pull me from my bed. “My first thought is always: how long can I stay here before I have to drag my arse to the gym? “I haven’t worn anything in bed since I was about 16. “There’s something very luxurious and freeing about being naked and having clean sheets around you. “I never wear make-up outside work – I’m quite lazy. “I’ll rock up to Broadcasting House in jeans and trainers and a roll neck jumper, have porridge and a cup of tea at my desk, then we’re on air from 11 to 1pm.” Talking about what she does to unwind, she said: “In summer I neglect my friends because the golf course beckons. “On a perfect day I could be back home and teeing off at 3pm. My handicap is 6.1 but as long as the other person isn’t an utter dick who chats on about their own swing when I want to talk about mine. “I’m quite blunt – I’ll happily play with anyone. I love the chat and the wine afterwards. “But I’ll also happily whack my headphones in and find great joy playing on my own. Golf is a completely selfish pastime.” Back in May Naga Munchetty was missing from BBC Breakfast for a second week – and Nina Warhurst stood in for her. In August we reported that the fan favourite also went ‘missing‘ from our screens. She has long been open about her brave health battle after being diagnosed with adenomyosis. Adenomyosis is a condition that causes the lining of the womb to bury into the muscular wall of the womb.
