An awkward moment on Olivia Rodrigo’s latest tour saw her accidentally ask a brother and sister to kiss.

The Vampire singer is currently worldwide jetsetting with the Guts Tour, which has already been full of chaotic moments.

As the tour reached Australia, her Sydney show saw a particularly painful moment when the Disney star asked two audience members to kiss for the show’s Shots Cam…Without knowing they were related.

A video shared on social media shows the singer spotting the man and woman in the crowd, stating ‘You guys are so cute.’

‘Hey, I have a really cute fun thing to ask. Would you guys give us a kiss on the Shots Cam?’ she asks, with the crowd whooping and cheering.

Once the rabble died down, you can see the man shake his head and declare ‘She’s my sister!’

Sorry to disapoint you @Olivia Rodrigo but that would be my sister. If anyone has other POVs please send them to me if you can! #oliviarodrigo #gutsworldtour #kisscam #sydney #gutssydney #gutssydnetnight1 #kisscamgonewrong #gutstour ♬ original sound – tom santo

Olivia, now red-faced, took back her request: ‘She’s your sister? Oh s**t, oh s**t, nevermind, nevermind, scrap that.

‘Oh god, that hasn’t happened before.’

He shared a video of the interaction on Tiktok, writing: ‘Olivia Rodrigo asking my sister and I to kiss was not on my 2024 bingo card.’

He added in the caption: ‘Sorry to disappoint you @Olivia Rodrigo but that would be my sister.’

Olivia took to the comment section to apologise, writing in all capital letters: ‘I’m so sorry.’

And the brother took it with good humour, cheekily replying: ‘We can recreate the kiss cam if you would like!???’

Fans were left in hysterics by the encounter, taking to social media to gently rib the singer.

‘She really wasn’t kidding when she wrote Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl,’ TikTok user Molly wrote, referring to Olivia’s single that contains various awkward lyrics, such as: ‘thought your mom was your wife, called you the wrong name twice.’

TT added: ‘We were dying in the audience oh my goddd’, while others who were there agreed the moment was ‘hilarious.’

Arwen predicted: ‘She’s gonna lie awake to this traumatizing moment for the rest of her life.’

It comes after the Deja Vu singer fell into a hole onstage during her Melbourne show on October 13.

Thankfully, Olivia was okay and bounced back onto the stage moments later to joke about the unexpected moment.

‘Oh my God! That was fun. I’m okay,’ she assured the crowd.

‘Sometimes, there is just a hole in the stage,’ she joked. ‘Okay, where was I? How are you doing tonight, Melbourne?’

The tour comes in support of Olivia’s second studio album Guts which was released last year, featuring the singles Vampire, Bad Idea Right?, and Get Him Back.
