WHENEVER new games are added to PlayStation’s subscription service, PS Plus, other games inevitably leave. This week, Sony announced 16 games coming to PS Plus in September, which inevitably means that a number of games will have to leave in October. Of the 10 games on the chopping block, five of them come from the critically acclaimed Dragon Quest franchise. Dragon Quest Builders is a spin-off with the theme of using blocks to build your base, similar to Minecraft. Both games in the spin-off series will leave next month, alongside both games in the Dragon Quest Heroes series. These are musou games, where you capture specific flags on the map while fending off hordes of enemies. The main line Dragon Quest game that will leave PS Plus is Dragon Quest 11, the most recent game in the series. The franchise will be leaving the service just ahead of the release of the Dragon Quest 3 HD2D remake in November. Other games leaving PC Plus include Gotham Knights, one of the more recent games set in the Batman universe, which is also leaving Xbox Game Pass soon. PlayStation classic Little Big Planet 3 will also be saying goodbye, alongside another PS exclusive, Toukiden Kiwami. Subscribers will also have their last chance to play popular survival horror game The Evil Within for free, and Ultra Street Fighter 4 will also leave the service.
