A Russian kamikaze drone has destroyed a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) that was being used in Kiev’s incursion into Kursk Region, the Defense Ministry in Moscow stated on Wednesday, releasing purported footage of the strike.

Russian reconnaissance spotted the Ukrainian IFV in a wooded area at an unspecified location, with the military proceeding to hit it with a first-person-view UAV, the ministry said.

“As a result of a direct hit by the FPV drone, the Ukrainian IFV was destroyed,” officials stated, adding that it would be “impossible to repair” the vehicle.

The ministry released footage of the strike, which shows the IFV parked on a road near a forest before being hit by what appears to be a drone. Moments later, the vehicle begins to burn. The crew’s fate is unknown.
