“303” is the title of the film supported by the European Union that premiered in Tirana as a powerful reminder highlighting the suffering of those who survived the inhumane experience of the Spaç prison and underscores the importance of remembering the past in Albania.

According to the EU delegation in Tirana, this documentary film is also a compelling reason why the support of storytelling the histories of people who suffered during the communist regime in Albania should continue.

With script and direction by Gentian Doda and Lorin Terezi, the film 303 was funded by the European Union through the EU4Culture program. This project is part of a broader effort to support Albania in confronting its past, keeping survivor stories alive, and addressing their call for justice.

Meanwhile, the head of the EU delegation in Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, had a meeting with 4 men who suffered in this prison.

“Deeply touched by the stories of four courageous men who survived the atrocities in the notorious Spaç prison in communist Albania: Zenel Drangu, Agron Hoxha, Bedri Blloshmi, and Banush Cuka,” expressed Gonzato.

“Their stories of sacrifice, resilience, and hope are a powerful lesson for the younger generations, reminding us why we need to ensure that history never repeats itself.

Their voices, along with those of hundreds of other survivors, deserve to be heard and supported in their efforts for justice,” expressed Gonzato. (October 21)
