A BRIT girl has tragically drowned after falling into a swimming pool in a villa in Spain. A spokesman for the rescue team said: “A three-year-old girl has died today in a swimming pool in the Torrox area of the province of Malaga. “We received a call at noon … emergency responders were immediately activated and attempts were made to save the girl’s life. “A helicopter was mobilised along with the Civil Guard, local town-hall employed police and health professionals. “[Rescuers] later confirmed the little girl had died without offering any more details about the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.” It is understood the girl lived at the family home in Costa de Sol with her parents and two other siblings. Oscar Medina, mayor of Torrox, described the girl’s death as a “tragic incident”. He added: “I offer my sincere and profound condolences to the family in the name of all local residents.” The Sun has approached the Foreign Office for a comment. It comes after a daredevil Brit influencer tragically died after plunging 160ft from a bridge in a social media stunt. The 26-year-old is said to have tried to climb the bridge Puente de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain – one of the country’s tallest. A spokesman for National Police said the Brit was climbing up the bridge near Talavera de la Reina, when the social media stunt went awry. Footage from the scene of the tragedy showed police cordoning off the area near where he fell. National Police as well as local town-hall-employed firefighters rushed to the scene with paramedics but there was nothing they could to save the Brit. Cops have now launched an investigation but it is believed to be an accident.
