LABOUR will “take back control” of migration, crack down on benefit frauds and value capitalist markets, Sir Keir Starmer vowed today.

In a dash to the right, the PM repurposed the Vote Leave slogan to argue that a crackdown on foreigners coming to Britain is a “Labour argument”.

In his first party conference speech as PM, Sir Keir said: “No – the debate is not about the worth of migrants.

“That is toxic and we must move beyond it.

“It’s about control of migration.

“It’s always been about control.

“That is what people have voted for time and again.”

“Taking back control is a Labour argument.”

Before hundreds of cheering Labour members, Sir Keir also announced plans for a crackdown on benefits frauds.

He said: “If we want to maintain support for the welfare state, then we will legislate to stop benefit fraud.
