I left the home in a panic. God she’s [inaudible]. The operator says: “I need you to take a deep breath cos I cannot understand what you’re saying, okay? Your daughter has died?” He then says: “I killed my daughter. I tried to, to give her CPR, everything but I fail, I left in a panic.” Sharif said it all happened around 36 hours before the call and said: “I’m a cruel father. I’m gonna come back.” The operator later says: “So where… where are you? I know you said you were driving, but can you see a road? Where are you right now?” Urfan, who never says he had gone to Pakistan, replied: “Um, I, I cannot give more detail. I… I promise I’ll come back. I’ll, I’ll find, I’ll, I’ll face the death sentence.” The operator said: “I need to know where you are.” Sharif claims the supposed confession was only made to protect the others, the court heard.
