Perfect if you’ve got acne scarring, sunspots, pigmentation and even pesky wrinkles you’d like to see disappear, the Azelaic Dark Spot Serum is a lightweight serum that tackles it all while blocking the pigmentation pathway at every stage.

The result? Not just a reduction in existing pigmentation and skin woes, but a lesser chance of future pigmentation forming.

We’re talking smoother, more even and younger-looking skin right now and in the future.

But how does it work? The clever new Balance Me serum has been packed with potent actives that work hard on the skin while being totally gentle, making it a great choice for all skin types including blemish-prone and highly-sensitive skin.

in a 60-day trial with 37 women using the serum twice a day after cleansing, the impressive results showed that 87% said their skin looked more even and 86% said their complexion looked better (Picture: Balance Me)

These superstar ingredients include, of course, Azelaic Acid, an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant ingredient that reduces pigmentation and prevents new pigmentation forming; and Bioretinoid, which works to boosts skin elasticity for fewer lines, wrinkles and dark spots.

It’s also got CelluCapTM Resveratrol, which reduces skin damage and boosts the production of naturally occurring antioxidants in the skin for a healthier barrier, as well as everyone’s favourite Niacinamide.

Niacinamide is an anti-inflammatory that boosts the production of ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier and stimulate collagen for improved skin elasticity, also targeting pigmentation and evening out skin tone for brighter, calmer skin.

This serum really has it all.

Clinical results have been pretty astounding for the serum, too, where in a 60-day trial with 37 women using the serum twice a day after cleansing, the impressive results showed that 87% found their skin looked more even and 86% found their complexion looked better.

80% noticed a reduction in existing pigmentation, 81% saw a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and 80% saw a reduction in the appearance of acne scarring.

But better still, in a Cosmetic In Instrumental Test Report from 10th June-27 August 2024 on ten participants, a whopping 100% had a reduction in pigmentation, resulting in a more even skin tone, while in 90% of participants the serum had been proven to a strengthen and rebuild the skin barrier.

But what did I think?

Now, unlike other test subjects, I was only able to use start testing this about a month ago due to some acne/sensitivity issues I was having before, so my results may not necessarily look as striking as others.

That said, I’m pretty impressed with the results I did get.

My skin woes lie in acne scarring and dark spots caused by old breakouts, so I was incredibly intrigued to see if this super serum could help make my skin clearer and more even.

I’ve been using the Azelaic Dark Spot Serum every day, twice a day since the 3rd September and I can honestly say, despite it not being long, my scars and discolouration have reduced. The first photo was taken on 3rd September and the second on 17th September.

I’ve been using the serum alongside Tretinoin (which has been sorting out my acne) and wanted it to help calm my breakouts and make any scarring less visible, and it’s definitely done just that.

While wrinkles (luckily) aren’t an area I’m currently worried about, I do still think this serum helped to smooth my complexion and make things a bit more even.

Mostly, though, I noticed a huge reduction in skin redness – which, as someone with mild rosacea, I struggle with a lot.

I’ve noticed each day that my skin has a much more even tone and complexion, with less redness and less marks to try and conceal.

Honestly? I can’t wait to keep using this and see how my skin is looking after a few more months. This one is a winner.
