The Six Kings Slam tennis tournament gets underway on October 16 in Saudi Arabia, featuring legendary duo Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

The lucrative exhibition event marks Nadal’s penultimate appearance before he enters retirement after the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga next month.

Djokovic, meanwhile, is also taking part in the six-player tournament with a historic amount of prize money up for grabs in Riyadh.

What is the Six Kings Slam and who is playing?

The Six Kings Slam – sometimes written as the ‘6 Kings Slam’ – is a new tennis exhibition tournament which is taking place from October 16 to October 19.

Only six players are involved with Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune joining Nadal and Djokovic out in Riyadh.

Six Kings Slam schedule and format

Matches will be played on October 16, October 17 and October 19. There is no action on October 18, which is being used as a rest day.

The first day of action on October 16 sees Medvedev face Sinner while Rune locks horns with Alcaraz in the quarter-finals.

October 16:

  • Daniil Medvedev vs Jannik Sinner
  • Holger Rune vs Carlos Alcaraz

October 17:

  • Novak Djokovic vs Medvedev/Sinner
  • Rafael Nadal vs Alcaraz/Rune

October 19:

  • Third-place match
  • Grand Final

Nadal and Djokovic will not compete in the quarter-finals and have instead received byes directly to the semi-finals, which are being played on October 17.

Djokovic will face the winner of Medvedev’s clash with Sinner while Nadal is set for a battle with whoever comes out on top between Rune and Alcaraz.

Following the rest day on October 18, the third-place match and Grand Final will then take place on October 19.

Does the Six Kings Slam offer ranking points?

No, there are no ranking points up for grabs at the Six Kings Slam. That’s because it’s not an ATP-sanctioned event and does not feature on the ATP Tour.
