Ex-Manchester United boss Casey Stoney keen on Arsenal job --[Reported by Umva mag]
It could happen quickly.
Former Manchester United boss Casey Stoney is interested in becoming Arsenal’s next manager following the resignation of Jonas Eidevall.
The Swede stood down on Tuesday following a dismal start to the Gunners’ WSL campaign.
Stoney became United’s first women’s team manager in 2018 and spent three years at the club.
She had been seen as a successor for Emma Hayes at Chelsea but Stoney decided to remain with the San Diego Wave.
But the Wave parted ways with Stoney in June and she’s keen on a return to England, according to the Times.
The 42-year-old was present at the Emirates on Saturday to watch the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Arsenal are set to take stock of their position, given it was Eidevall’s decision to step down and not the clb’s
Renee Slegers, the first-team assistant, has been placed in interim charge.
