Nick Jonas was filmed fleeing from the stage during a gig in Prague after an audience member reportedly aimed a laser at him.

Footage of last night’s incident at the Jonas Brothers’ World Tour in the Czech Republic has been widely circulated on social media.

A clip from TikTok user @jolanda.einzelstueck shows the 32-year-old singer darting from the stage while frantically making time-out signs.

According to various X accounts, the Jonas Brothers’ immediately stopped the performance after a red laser was directed at Nick’s head.

After it was investigated and not revealed to be a security threat, the brothers resumed the gig ten minutes later, it has been claimed.

Fans flocked to social media to unpack the worrying footage and instantly rallied around Nick, praising his quick reactions.

Reddit user Chookie94 shared: ‘Nick looked so panicked. Glad it was nothing and they could finish the show. But his reaction was 100% the right one if a laser is pointed at you in that situation.

‘And seriously, what are people doing pointing a laser at someone’s head in the first place. People need to be better.’

Swonstar agreed: ‘He looked liked he was in a panic. His awareness was kinda amazing. I would be 1000% cautious too [sic].’

‘Smart man. Take cover, signal security, and gtfo. He was brave to come back and finish the show,’ Accomplished_Trip said.

Over on Twitter, Lovedlwlrma16 wrote: ‘Why would someone even do that? I’m glad he handled this incident pretty well, and no one got hurt too.’

As Brittany penned: ‘Poor Nick :( can’t imagine how scary this must’ve been. I’m glad it was only a laser pointer, but jeez.

‘You never know these days, so I don’t blame him for panicking.’

It’s not the first difficulty Nick has encountered on the tour after fans kept throwing items on stage during a California gig.

Mid-performance, a bracelet was seen whizzing past Nick’s head in a fan-shared video, prompting him to shake his head.

He was then seen sternly telling someone in the audience to ‘stop’ before continuing to sing his band’s hit Rollercoaster.

Nick also took a tumble during the Jonas Brother’s show at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

In a clip shared on social media, Nick was in the middle of belting out a note when he took a small step back and suddenly fell into a hole in the floor.

It clearly hurt a little as the popstar was seen mouthing ‘ouch’ before springing up just as fast as he fell and making an impressively swift recovery.

The Jonas Brothers also previously angered their fans by delaying their European leg of their Five Albums One Night tour, which was due to take place in spring.

‘We have shifted the European dates to later this year, but that is only because we have some exciting projects that we’re very excited to share with you at a later point,’ Nick shared at the time.

He continued: ‘European fans, we love you, we can’t wait to see you, it’s been long overdue. And we are so excited to play these shows later this year, in the fall.’

Across social media the band has been denounced by their loyal followers, as Samariya Mileth vented: ‘Honestly… what the F is wrong with the Jonas Brothers management?

‘At this point, they’ll have 0 fans left outside US. They just postpone shows like it’s a walk in the park, it happened in Mexico (more than once) and now happened in Europe. So disrespectful and disappointing.’

It seems they also didn’t land well with their Australian fans – with tickets for one of the band’s concerts in Sydney reportedly being slashed after disappointing sales.

The tour was announced in July, with tickets costing anything from $80 (AUD), equivalent to roughly £40, to almost $1,000 (£514) in special cases.

However, moments before the tour’s opening night at the Qudos Bank Arena, it was alleged that tickets were given away for free, allowing some fans entry for nothing after devotees had already shelled out hundreds to get in.

Metro has contacted Nick’s reps for comment.
