MASSIVE BUST: P13.6M Drug Stash ERADICATED in CdO!

A pre-dawn raid in Cagayan de Oro City shattered the quiet of Barangay Gusa, resulting in the seizure of a staggering P13.6 million worth of crystal meth. The operation, meticulously planned and executed, targeted a key figure in the region’s illicit drug trade.

Combined forces from the Cagayan de Oro Police Office and the Police Regional Office 10 converged on Purok 4, acting on intelligence gathered from confidential sources. The suspect, a 41-year-old man, was caught red-handed during a drug exchange, attempting to sell two kilograms of shabu.

For weeks, authorities had been tracking the suspect, responding to reports of his widespread dealing in shabu and marijuana throughout Barangay Gusa and surrounding communities. Informants painted a picture of a large-scale operation, fueling the urgency of the investigation.

The successful operation, spearheaded by Major Aldren Estrada Baculio, represents a significant blow to the drug network operating in the region. The suspect is currently held in a PRO-10 detention facility, facing charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Local leaders and members of the Cagayan de Oro City Peace and Order Council lauded the swift action, emphasizing the commitment to dismantling drug syndicates and safeguarding the community. This arrest signals a continued crackdown on the illegal drug trade within the city and beyond.
