Transferring your domain to UMVA is straightforward:

1. Ensure your domain is at least 60 days old (ICANN requirement) and unlocked at your current registrar.
2. Obtain the EPP/Authorization code from your current registrar.
3. Visit our Transfer page, enter your domain name and EPP code.
4. Pay the transfer fee (includes a free 1-year extension).
5. Approve the transfer via email (sent to the registrant email on file).
6. The transfer completes within 5–7 days. Your DNS continues working throughout.

Each transfer adds 1 full year to your domain's expiration date, so you never lose time.

• Expiration Date — Your domain stops resolving (website and email go offline).
• Grace Period (~30 days) — You can renew at the standard renewal price.
• Redemption Period (~30 days) — You can still restore the domain, but a restoration fee applies.
• Pending Delete — The domain is released and becomes available for anyone to register.
