Ndiaga Diagne, the 53-year-old identified as the perpetrator of Sunday’s mass shooting, allegedly maintained an online presence saturated with antisemitic, anti-Christian, and deeply offensive language.
The account, believed to belong to Diagne, showcased a rapid descent into hateful rhetoric shortly after its creation in October 2024. Posts contained slurs and inflammatory statements, often flagged by the platform as potentially violating its policies against hateful conduct.
Diagne’s online persona fixated on perceived enemies, frequently targeting both Israel and its supporters with venomous attacks. He labeled individuals as “fake Jews” and unleashed a barrage of misogynistic insults, demonstrating a profound contempt for women.
His posts weren’t simply reactive; they actively championed extremist ideology. One August 2025 post declared, “THE ISLAMIC REVOLUTION IS ETERNAL AND HERE TO STAY UNTIL THE END OF TIME,” dismissing any opposition as powerless.
The suspect’s apparent religious fervor was further underscored by items recovered from his vehicle, including a Quran. He was also reportedly wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with “Property of Allah” and an undershirt displaying the Iranian flag at the time of the shooting.
Investigators are now exploring a potential connection between the shooting and recent U.S. and Israeli actions against Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Supreme Leader, who reportedly died just prior to the attack. This line of inquiry suggests a possible motive rooted in geopolitical tensions.
