ISRAEL UNDER ATTACK: Iran VOWS RETRIBUTION & Names Trump!

The conflict in the Middle East has surged into its sixth day, marked by a new wave of Iranian missile launches targeting Israel and U.S. interests. Israel reports intercepting incoming attacks, signaling a rapidly escalating exchange with profound regional implications.

Beyond the direct confrontation, the conflict is spilling over borders. An Iranian drone attack on Nakhchivan, an Azerbaijani exclave, injured four airport workers and inflicted significant damage. Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry has demanded an apology from Iran, disputing claims of innocence, and highlighting the widening scope of the crisis.

The United Kingdom is bolstering its presence in the region, dispatching four additional Typhoon fighter jets to Qatar. This move, responding to requests from Middle Eastern allies, adds to previously deployed air defenses and underscores growing international concern over the volatile situation.

An ambulance is pictured amid the rubble of destroyed buildings at the site of an Israeli airstrike in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh on March 5, 2026.

The rhetoric from Iran is becoming increasingly incendiary. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned the sinking of an Iranian frigate by the U.S. Navy as an “atrocity at sea,” vowing repercussions. Alarmingly, a prominent Iranian cleric publicly called for violence against both Israelis and former U.S. President Trump.

Lebanon is bearing a heavy toll as hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah intensify. The death toll has climbed to 77, with over 527 wounded, and more than 83,000 people displaced. The devastating impact on civilian populations is becoming increasingly apparent.

Israeli military strikes are now targeting Hezbollah command centers within Beirut, the Lebanese capital. These strikes, focused on facilities used by Hezbollah’s aerial unit, are intended to disrupt attacks against Israeli personnel and civilians, further escalating tensions in the region.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has claimed responsibility for an attack on an American oil tanker in the Persian Gulf. This act of aggression, occurring off the coast of Kuwait, represents a direct challenge to international shipping and adds another layer of complexity to the conflict.

Canada is carefully considering its role in the unfolding crisis. Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that military participation cannot be ruled out, emphasizing the need to stand by allies while acknowledging the lack of prior consultation on recent offensive actions taken by the U.S. and Israel.
