NEWMARKET NIGHTMARE: Gunman's 20+ Charges EXPOSED!

A quiet Newmarket neighborhood became the target of a chilling series of events last year, culminating in the arrest of an 18-year-old man. York Regional Police have laid multiple charges, including attempted murder, following two separate shooting incidents at the same home on Hewitt Circle.

The first volley of gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. on October 16th. Responding officers discovered bullet damage to two vehicles in the driveway, as well as the home’s garage and front door. Thankfully, the residence was occupied, but no one was physically harmed.

The reprieve was tragically short-lived. Just a week later, on October 23rd, at approximately 4:40 a.m., the same address was again subjected to a barrage of shots. This time, the violence found its mark.

A person inside a parked vehicle was struck by gunfire and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, though their life was not immediately threatened. The escalating nature of the attacks prompted an intensive investigation by York Regional Police.

Recent searches of residences in Mississauga and Brampton yielded significant results. Authorities seized a firearm, high-capacity magazines, and a quantity of a controlled substance, leading to the arrest of Jason Tulloch.

Tulloch now faces a lengthy list of charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and numerous firearm-related offenses. The investigation continues as authorities piece together the motive behind these brazen acts.

Meanwhile, in Toronto, a demonstration at Queen’s Park took a troubling turn on Wednesday afternoon. A protest escalated when an individual allegedly vandalized a monument with spray paint.

As officers moved to make an arrest, the situation deteriorated. A group of protesters reportedly became aggressive, and one individual allegedly spat on a police officer. The incident resulted in two arrests.

Rohtansh Saini, 22, of Toronto, has been charged with mischief related to the damage to the monument. Mason Wallington, 21, from Hay River, Northwest Territories, faces a charge of assaulting a peace officer.

Both incidents underscore the challenges faced by law enforcement in maintaining public safety and responding to escalating tensions. Investigations into both the Newmarket shootings and the Queen’s Park demonstration are ongoing.
