GLENN IGNITES WAR: Lesbian Skating Showdown DEMANDED!

Amber Glenn, a history-making figure skater, isn’t just focused on perfecting her triple axel. Fresh off a triumphant performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics, she’s making a bold appeal to the creators of the hit series, *Heated Rivalry*.

At the GLAAD Awards on March 5th, Glenn enthusiastically shared her love for the show, specifically Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams’ captivating portrayal of queer athletes. But her admiration didn’t stop there – she issued a passionate plea for more representation.

“I want Yuri *Heated Rivalry*!” she exclaimed, directly addressing the show’s creator, Jacob Tiernet. The term “Yuri” refers to a genre of media centered on relationships between women, a space Glenn believes deserves a spotlight within the series. She playfully pleaded, “Ask me, hire me, I can fall in love with my co-star please!”

Glenn’s desire to join the *Heated Rivalry* universe isn’t a long shot. The show has already demonstrated a commitment to authentic representation, featuring Harrison Browne, the first openly trans athlete in professional American hockey, in a guest role during season one.

Glenn herself broke barriers as the first openly queer woman to represent the US in Olympic singles figure skating. Her openness about her pansexuality, revealed in 2019, was profoundly liberating. She explained to NBC News that embracing her true self allowed her to compete with newfound freedom, unburdened by external expectations.

The timing couldn’t be better. Season two of *Heated Rivalry* is slated to begin filming this August, with an anticipated release in April 2027. The upcoming season will adapt *The Long Game*, the sixth installment in Rachel Reid’s *Game Changers* series.

The new storyline revisits the beloved couple Shane and Ilya ten years after their initial romance, revealing they still navigate the challenges of remaining publicly closeted. Meanwhile, Robbie G.K., a star of *Heated Rivalry*, hinted at a joyful scene to come: a wedding between his character, Kip, and Francois Arnaud’s Scott.

Glenn’s enthusiasm, coupled with the show’s proven dedication to inclusivity, suggests a potential collaboration that could resonate deeply with audiences. Her presence would not only add another layer of authenticity but also amplify the call for greater queer representation in sports narratives.
