Britain’s Got Talent’s new judge KSI reduces ‘hysterical’ children to tears --[Reported by Umva mag]

Britain’s Got Talent auditions kicked off in Blackpool on Tuesday with a brand new judge in YouTube sensation, boxer, and rapper KSI.

The triple-threat star, also responsible for crashing supermarkets with his energy drink Prime, has joined Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon on the BGT judging panel as a temporary replacement for Bruno Tonioli who is busy filming Dancing With The Stars in the US.

And already Britain’s Got Talent is the KSI show, causing absolutely mayhem behind the scenes.

‘There’s been kids hysterically crying, parents doing whatever they can to get their kid down to the judges’ seats,’ an insider told Metro.

‘He can’t even go to the loo during filming without the audience running to try and get photos.’

All four judges have become huge fans of the musician – real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji – who is bringing a completely different energy to former Strictly judge Bruno.

‘He’s brought a sense of calm and cool to the panel, and has been throwing himself in the deep end already, joining contestants on stage, and really getting stuck in.

‘He’s described a couple of the acts as a fever dream, and has been pushing the red buzzer a lot, but he’s showing he has an eye for real talent,’ they continued.

The source confirmed KSI also unexpectedly pressed his golden buzzer on the first day for an act everyone at BGT is tipping to go viral.

‘It’s not somebody you’d expect him to push it for, but he loved the act was so family-orientated, and was deserving of a fast pass to the semi-finals,’ they revealed.

The social media sensation is a co-founding member of YouTube group the Sidemen, the CEO of Misfits Boxing, and the co-owner of Prime Hydration, XIX Vodka, Sidemen Clothing, restaurant chain Sides, and cereal brand Best Breakfasts.

After starting his YouTube channel in 2009, he built a following by posting gaming commentary videos of the FIFA video game series and later started sharing vlogs and comedy-style videos.

He has also appeared on Top Gear, Celebrity Gogglebox and The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off.

Across his three YouTube channels, KSI now has over 41million subscribers, with BGT bosses keen to capitalise on his popularity and attract a younger audience to the ITV show.

Appearing on Amanda’s Heart breakfast show, KSI teased he would be a BGT ‘villain’.

‘I’ve kicked Bruno out, and I’m taking his place! Actually, he’s coming back, but I’m there for a little bit. Yeah, it’s going to be fun, man. I’m going to judge some talent,’ he said.

‘Everyone thinks I’m going to be an evil judge, I’m going to be a villain – I’m going to just press the red button as soon as they walk out. I might do that every now and then, but I’m just going to have fun with it and we’ll just see what happens.’

Britain’s Got Talent will be breaking with tradition and returning later this year, filling the Saturday Night Takeaway-shaped hole left after Ant and Dec confirmed they would be retiring their live primetime series indefinitely.

The duo will be back filming Britain’s Got Talent instead before they jet off to Australia for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
