Masked singers mock Farage and Trump with Grease tribute at Labour karaoke --[Reported by Umva mag]

Nigel Farage and Donald Trump made an unexpected appearance at the Labour conference karaoke on Monday, belting out a Grease classic in front of a cheering crowd.

A quartet of singers donned masks of the two right-wing leaders as they climbed on stage at Liverpool’s Bierkeller for a rendition of You’re The One That I Want.

Attendees lapped up the bizarre sight, despite the group – thought to be made up of Labour members – having a limited knowledge of the lyrics and choreography.

It was all poking fun at the Reform UK leader’s close friendship with the Republican candidate for president.

Farage has supported Trump at several rallies in the US, and recently defended his unsubstantiated claims that Haitian immigrants are eating family pets in the city of Springfield, Ohio.

The Grease tribute was not the only entertainment at the LabourList event last night.

Yuan Yang MP performed an impressive version of Nicki Minaj’s Superbass – reciting the raps without needing to look at the screen with the lyrics.

Earlier, Care Minister Stephen Kinnock had stepped up to the DJ booth to blast I Love It by Icona Pop and Charli XCX, while Stella Creasy MP got the crowd moving by playing Shania Twain’s Man! I Feel Like a Woman ahead of C’est La Vie by B*Witched.

Karaoke is an intrinsic part of party conference season, with Labour’s events often drawing the most attention.

Last year, now-Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy performed a pair of duets with then-MP and current Labour Together chief Jonathan Ashworth: Never Gonna Give You Up followed by Common People.

More karaoke is expected to take place tonight at the Daily Mirror party, accompanied by a live band.
