Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are reportedly considering a move for young Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is valued by his current club Lille at around €80million (£69m).
Manchester City are also said to be interested in signing Bouaddi, with the club having held direct talks with Lille over a possible transfer. The English champions are already on the verge of completing a major deal for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, but may be looking to add further reinforcements in the middle of the park.
However, according to recent reports, Manchester City are not currently looking to sign Bouaddi this summer. The player has been in high demand, with Arsenal and Liverpool also tracking him before the World Cup. Paris Saint-Germain have also been in touch with people close to the player, despite having different priorities in attack and defence.
Bouaddi has been a breakout star of the World Cup, impressing with his maturity and skill on the pitch. Former France striker Olivier Giroud has heaped praise on the 18-year-old, describing him as a 'complete' player with the potential to become one of the world's top midfielders.
Giroud compared Bouaddi to Patrick Vieira and Sergio Busquets, praising his versatility and ability to dominate games. The young midfielder is currently focused on helping Morocco reach the knockout stages of the World Cup, but it seems his future is already being heavily discussed by top European clubs.
