Gene Simmons Reveals Professional Backlash for Not Criticizing Trump in O'Reilly Interview

Gene Simmons Reveals Professional Backlash for Not Criticizing Trump in O'Reilly Interview

Gene Simmons, the iconic bassist of KISS, has revealed that he lost work due to his refusal to criticize President Trump during interviews. In a recent conversation with Bill O'Reilly, Simmons shared that he was asked on camera about his opinion of the President, and he chose to express his respect for the office rather than disparage Trump.

Simmons emphasized that regardless of one's personal feelings towards Trump, it's essential to respect the presidency. He drew a parallel with a doctor, stating that just as one might not like their doctor but still respects their profession, people should respect the office of the President. This viewpoint, Simmons noted, was not well-received by some, leading to him losing two or three shows.

The KISS frontman also expressed his support for the border wall, identifying as a "firm believer" in its construction to curb illegal migration. During the same conversation, Simmons criticized the previous Pope for labeling the border wall as "inhumane" while residing in the Vatican, highlighting what he saw as hypocrisy.

Simmons' comments have been noted for their rarity in the celebrity world, where many entertainers often feel compelled to align with liberal views. His willingness to express his opinions, even if they go against the prevailing sentiment in the entertainment industry, has been seen as refreshing by some.
