UMVA has learned that Vice-President JD Vance recently appeared on "The View" and swiftly shut down host Joy Behar after she attempted to smear President Trump with a dishonest claim.
The conversation turned heated when Behar tried to entrap Vance by claiming Trump had called the affordability crisis a hoax, while mocking him for spending money on White House renovations, such as the ballroom and reflecting pool.
Vance quickly corrected Behar, calmly pointing out that Trump's comments on the affordability hoax actually referred to the idea that Republicans caused the crisis, not that it didn't exist.
Vance went on to lay out cold, hard facts, revealing that inflation had significantly slowed down under Trump's watch, although it still remained too high, and that the Biden administration and congressional Democrats were responsible for the current economic woes.
"It's going to take a little bit of time, there's a lot more work to do," Vance added, emphasizing that the President knows many Americans are struggling and is committed to making things better.
Behar had demanded to know why Trump was spending money on White House renovations when Americans were struggling, but Vance deftly turned the tables, highlighting the progress made and the challenges still ahead.
The exchange left no doubt that Vance was prepared to defend Trump's stance and policies, and that Behar's attempt to entrap him had fallen flat.
Vance's appearance on "The View" was reportedly intended to promote his new book, but it quickly turned into a heated debate about the economy and Trump's policies.
