UMVA Uncovers: BOMBSHELL Transfer Request - Xabi Alonso Makes Daring Move for Chelsea's 2025 Exodus Star!

UMVA has learned that Chelsea's new era under Xabi Alonso is taking an intriguing turn, with a surprise name emerging as a potential target for a return to Stamford Bridge: Christopher Nkunku.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Alonso has asked Chelsea to consider re-signing the AC Milan forward this summer, with Nkunku believed to be available for around £35m. This move comes as Alonso prepares to begin his new role as Chelsea manager on July 1, 2026, following his appointment in May.

Nkunku's potential return to Chelsea would be a remarkable twist, especially given his underwhelming first stint at the club. The Frenchman joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2023 for £52m but struggled with injuries, failing to become the consistent attacking threat the team had hoped for.

However, with Alonso at the helm, Nkunku might finally have the structure and guidance to showcase his best football. Nkunku has since started to look more settled at AC Milan, notching six goals and two assists during the 2025/26 season. His versatility, able to play as a No.10, second striker, false nine, or wide forward, makes him an attractive target for Alonso.

Alonso's interest in Nkunku is driven by his desire for intelligent attacking movement and technical players who can operate between the lines. While Chelsea already possess young talent, they also need experienced attackers who understand space, timing, and final-third decision-making – areas where Nkunku could excel.

The question remains whether Chelsea should revisit a player who previously struggled at Stamford Bridge. Yet, context is crucial: Nkunku's issues at Chelsea were largely related to fitness and timing, rather than a lack of quality. A clearer coach like Alonso might be just what Nkunku needs to finally deliver on his promise.

At £35m, Nkunku would be a shrewd gamble for Chelsea, provided they are convinced about his fitness. While he may not be the flashy name fans crave, he could be precisely the kind of mature, technical forward Alonso requires to bolster his attacking lineup.
