UMVA has learned that a crucial lineup decision is on the horizon for the upcoming match, with several key positions still up for grabs.
Sources close to the team have revealed that Anthony Gordon is poised to start on the left side of attack, edging out Marcus Rashford for the spot. Gordon's intense work rate and positional discipline have reportedly won over the coach, who values these qualities highly.
Rashford, however, will still play a significant role off the bench, bringing his proven ability to change the course of a game with his individual skill and quality.
Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka's fitness is a growing concern after struggling with an Achilles injury that forced him to miss several games for his club. With Saka's availability uncertain, Noni Madueke could be given the nod on the right flank if he is deemed unfit to start.
The number 10 role is also under consideration, with Morgan Rogers and Jude Bellingham pushing for the spot. Bellingham appears to have secured his place in the team for now, having impressed in recent warm-up games with his tireless off-the-ball work.
At the back, Reece James and Nico O’Reilly are set to start as full-backs, with Trevoh Chalobah not expected to feature after being called in as a replacement for an injured teammate.
The midfield partnership of Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson will continue, providing defensive solidity, while Harry Kane will lead the line up front, marshaling the attack.
