You can now get your favourite high street latte on board an EasyJet flight --[Reported by Umva mag]

Tired of generic inflight coffee that doesn’t hit the spot? Holidaymakers can now get a proper caffeine fix aboard EasyJet flights.

The airline has revamped its inflight menu by adding Costa Coffee – one of the nation’s favourite high-street coffee shops – to its trolley service.

That means no more boring pots of generic filter coffee, when you’re trying to stay awake during an early flight (or hoping to ease that last night of the holiday hangover).

EasyJet has rolled out the new offering across all 1,184 of its routes to 170 destinations in 35 countries.

The upgraded menu features customer favourites from Salted Caramel lattes to frothy cappuccinos, making it easier than ever to enjoy a mid-flight pick-me-up.

One flier, Trevor Goldsmith, called the news ‘excellent’ after Costa Coffee shared it on X.

Meanwhile, others asked if they could use the Costa app onboard flights to collect flights on their orders – although were sadly disappointed.

The coffee chain replied: ‘You won’t be able to collect beans/ use the app. Sorry.’

The price for a cup of Costa coffee ranges from £3.75 to £3.95 on board, which is pretty reasonable when you consider some coffee spots in London are charging more than £5 for a flat white.

To celebrate the launch, Costa Coffee’s ‘Master of Coffee’ Gennaro Pelliccia, surprised holidaymakers earlier this month with a special coffee experience at 30,000 feet.

Passengers were treated to complimentary goodie bags and free drinks from the new inflight range.

Pelliccia commented: ‘It was an absolute pleasure to bring the Costa Coffee experience to life in the sky. Sharing a perfect cup of coffee with passengers as they embarked on their trip to Rome was a dream come true.

‘Our Italian heritage continues to inspire us every day to reimagine new coffee experiences for coffee fans all around the world. Collaborating with EasyJet allows us to make every journey – even in the air – just that little bit more special.’

Wizz Air launches longest-ever 3,000-mile route

Wizz Air has unveiled a new long-haul route from Gatwick Airport to Saudi Arabia – with tickets from just £134.99.

The budget airline announced earlier this month that it will launch a fleet of new Airbus A321XLR jets, along with the new route from London which covers a distance of almost 3,000 miles.

The new Gatwick to Jeddah route will be Wizz Air’s longest UK route and is due to launch at the end of March 2025.

Flight time to Jeddah will be around seven hours overnight on the outbound route.

And although the price tag is desirable, cost-conscious passengers will have to go without in-flight entertainment, complimentary coffee and reclinable seats.

Wizz Air boss Varadi said the A321XLR is ‘the most cost-efficient aircraft in its class,’ adding that basing its first long-haul plane at Gatwick was a ‘natural, strategic decision.’

‘We are very excited,’ he said about the Jeddah route.

However, when it came to the total lack of perks, he also said: ‘If you want to have more fun, you have to create the fun for yourself.’

Russell Braterman, in flight retail director for easyJet, said: ‘We are always looking for ways to enhance the onboard experience for our millions of customers and bring them more of the choices they want when they fly with us, so we are delighted to launch this new range with Costa Coffee onboard all our flights, which makes a fantastic addition to our popular ‘Eat Drink’ range onboard.’

Passengers who don’t fancy a brew can enjoy various other refreshments from EasyJet’s inflight menu, from Itsu noodle pots to margherita pizzas.
