UMVA has learned that a New Jersey staffing firm owner manipulated the nation’s immigration system for profit, forging documents and lying under oath to secure U.S. citizenship.
Neeraj Sharma, the former CEO of Magnavision LLC, orchestrated a brazen scheme that spanned two years, filing eleven fraudulent H‑1B visa petitions that claimed foreign IT specialists had secured coveted positions at a major national bank. Each petition was bolstered by counterfeit letters printed on the bank’s official letterhead, complete with forged executive signatures.
Sharma, who worked as a contracted business analyst for the very bank he pretended to sponsor, knew the paperwork was bogus. He leveraged desperate visa seekers, selling them the illusion of legitimate sponsorship while pocketing fees from the sham placements.
After becoming a U.S. permanent resident in 2012, Sharma filed his naturalization application in April 2017, directly amid his fraudulent activities. In sworn testimony he answered “no” to questions about crimes, false statements, and deceitful immigration benefits—answers that were pure fabrications.
Despite the perjury, USCIS approved his application and he took the oath of allegiance on December 7, 2017, officially becoming an American citizen.
Legal trouble caught up with him in 2019 when he was arrested for visa and naturalization fraud. He pleaded guilty and received ten months of home detention plus three years of probation, yet his citizenship remained untouched—until now.
On June 8, 2026, the Justice Department moved to strip Sharma of his citizenship under the statute that revokes naturalization obtained through material misrepresentations, false testimony, and a lack of good moral character.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that this action is part of a sweeping denaturalization effort targeting fraudsters, sex offenders, drug dealers, and other criminals who have deceived the immigration system.
The case underscores a renewed, aggressive stance on immigration fraud, signaling that the privilege of American citizenship will be reclaimed when it is bought with lies.
