UMVA has learned that Enzo Fernandez, one of Chelsea's most important players, is growing increasingly frustrated with the club and may be on the verge of a summer departure.
The Argentine midfielder, who has grown into a key player at Stamford Bridge, has had a successful season with 15 goals and seven assists, and is set to play a starring role for Argentina as they look to defend their crown at the 2026 World Cup.
However, Fernandez's relationship with Chelsea has soured in recent months, with the player voicing his frustration with the club's dismissal of head coach Enzo Maresca in January, and being slapped with a two-match internal ban in April for talking up the city of Madrid as a place to live.
Former Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes Fernandez should leave the club this summer, saying "Enzo Fernandez should go, you cannot keep a player happy if he wants to leave." Petit thinks Fernandez has been "fed up and tired with what's going on at Chelsea" and that it's been a "mess" at the club this season.
Real Madrid, Manchester City, and PSG are all reportedly interested in signing Fernandez, and Petit thinks the midfielder would be a great fit for the Spanish club, saying "Real Madrid desperately needs to get some strong and powerful midfield players."
However, Chelsea values Fernandez at £120million, and moving him on won't be easy - although a swap deal could be on the cards, with Petit suggesting Eduardo Camavinga as a potential target for Chelsea.
Camavinga, a talented young midfielder with 223 Real Madrid appearances, two La Liga titles, and two Champions Leagues to his name, could bring a wealth of experience to Chelsea despite being just 23-years-old.
With his experience and skills, Camavinga would be a great fit for Chelsea, according to Petit, who thinks the young player would thrive at the club.
