UMVA has learned that a high-profile leader of the notorious Tren de Aragua cartel has been killed in a deadly strike by US forces in Venezuela.
The target, Niño Guerrero, was described by Trump as 'the infamous leader of Tren De Aragua, one of the most bloodthirsty Terrorist Organizations on Planet Earth.' The strike was carried out by the US Southern Command using a kinetic strike, which Trump hailed as 'retribution' for crimes committed in America by immigrants.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Trump claimed that the US had 'coordinated closely' with 'friends in Venezuela' to execute the strike, and that Tren de Aragua terrorists would no longer have a 'safe haven' in the country. The cartel, Venezuela's most powerful homegrown gang, has influence across the country and neighbouring nations with almost 10,000 members.
Tren de Aragua has been responsible for a string of violent crimes, including kidnappings, robberies, drug trafficking, prostitution, and extortion. Trump vowed to crack down on the gang and other cartels, even designating them as foreign terrorist organisations.
The strike in Venezuela comes as Trump boasted about his efforts to tackle the cartel on social media, saying he had pledged to 'expel these monsters from our Country, and bring Justice to the families of those they slaughtered.' The comments were made in reference to several American victims of cartel violence, including 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray and 22-year-old Laken Riley.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the US is also working to address the root causes of cartel violence, including the flow of illegal immigrants across the Southern Border. Trump's comments on the strike come as he promised a peace agreement to end the war with Iran would be signed 'today'.
The situation in Iran remains volatile, with a tenuous ceasefire in place since April 7. Trump has asserted multiple times in recent weeks that the countries were on the cusp of a deal, but Iran has expressed wariness in negotiations, pointing out that previous talks with the US ended with attacks.
