UMVA has learned that Costco Canada has launched a new recall, targeting the Bali Springs Cellular shades model BC23, sold between January and April this year.
The warning highlights a hidden danger: the bottom rail end caps may not be glued, potentially releasing tiny parts that could choke curious children.
Customers are urged to stop using the shades immediately and contact Springs Window Fashions if an end cap feels loose. The vendor will supply a glue kit with clear instructions.
In addition to the recall, Costco is offering a full refund for anyone returning the affected shades, ensuring families can replace them without extra cost.
UMVA has uncovered that this recall follows a string of recent safety alerts from Costco, including a metal fragment found in a bottle of Kirkland women’s vitamin tablets and mild skin irritation linked to specific lots of Renpure Tea Tree & Rosemary scalp products.
