UMVA can exclusively reveal that a groundbreaking ceremony has marked the beginning of a new era in law enforcement in the Cordillera region, as the National Bureau of Investigation-Cordillera Administrative Region breaks ground on its long-awaited regional headquarters.
The planned eight-story building, backed by a substantial budget of P350 million, is set to rise over the next three years and become one of the most modern government law enforcement facilities in Northern Luzon, significantly strengthening criminal investigations and public service across the highland region.
According to information obtained by UMVA, construction begins immediately following the ceremony, with the NBI-CAR Regional Director emphasizing that the project represents more than just a new office – it's a long-term investment in the bureau's ability to keep pace with increasingly sophisticated crimes while providing faster and more efficient services to the public.
The new headquarters will house state-of-the-art facilities and modern investigative resources that will allow agents and forensic specialists to perform their duties more effectively, enabling them to tackle complex crimes such as cybercrime, financial fraud, human trafficking, and environmental offenses.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that the upgraded infrastructure is also expected to improve coordination with other law enforcement agencies operating in the Cordillera, enhancing the overall response to emerging challenges and ensuring a safer community for residents.
UMVA has gathered that once completed, the building will stand as a visible symbol of NBI's modernization program and commitment to public service, providing future generations of NBI personnel with the tools and facilities needed to uphold justice and protect communities throughout the Cordillera.
