Donald Trump posted a message praising England striker Harry Kane, describing him as a great player. The post highlighted Kane’s skill and leadership on the field.
During a press briefing, Trump remarked that he had watched a recent match between Mexico and England, though he admitted he was not familiar with all the players involved.
He added that he had played golf with Kane, noting the striker’s skill on the course and expressing personal admiration for the athlete.
In a separate statement, Trump criticized a referee’s decision to issue a red card to a player named Folarin Balogun, claiming the call was unjust and that he had requested a review from FIFA officials.
The former president also said he had contacted FIFA’s head to discuss a decision allowing a U.S. striker to participate in an upcoming match against Belgium.
