CALEDON KILLER CAUGHT: Justice Delivered for Beloved Senior!

CALEDON KILLER CAUGHT: Justice Delivered for Beloved Senior!

A quiet life shattered two years ago in Caledon has seen a new turn with a second arrest in the murder of David Robson, a 65-year-old man whose disappearance sparked a desperate search.

Robson was last seen on March 21, 2024, in his hometown of Melancthon, north of Orangeville. Four days later, both he and his vehicle were reported missing, a growing unease settling over the community.

The mystery deepened when Robson’s home was discovered damaged by fire on the same day he was reported missing, raising immediate suspicions and complicating the investigation.

The OPP’s Caledon Detachment has posted a billboard outside of Orangeville, Ont., with a picture of David Robson, who was reported missing from Melancthon Township on March 21, 2024.

Police announced the arrest of a 29-year-old man from Mississauga on Tuesday, charging him with first-degree murder, arson, and indignity to a body – a significant breakthrough in the case.

That initial arrest, however, wasn’t the end. Investigators believe others were involved, and their pursuit of justice continues relentlessly.

Just a day later, a second suspect, Piotr Olszewski, 42, of Toronto, was taken into custody, facing charges of arson and accessory after the fact to murder.

The breakthrough followed a renewed push for information, spearheaded by a billboard campaign featuring Robson’s photograph erected outside Orangeville in late March.

Detectives emphasized that Robson’s death was not considered random, assuring the public there was no ongoing risk to their safety, even as the investigation unfolded.

Investigators are determined to uncover the full truth and bring all those responsible for David Robson’s death to justice, offering a measure of closure to his grieving family.

The case, once a cold file, has been reignited, fueled by persistent detective work and a renewed appeal to the public, promising answers after two long years of uncertainty.
