A woman has been killed and a man taken to hospital following a double stabbing in west London. The 24-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene on Uxbridge Road in Hayes this morning.
Emergency services were called at around 7.55am today, and also found a man in his twenties outside with stab wounds. The Metropolitan Police said they quickly found a 44-year-old man nearby who matched the description of the suspect.
The man, who had injuries believed to be caused after jumping from a window, was taken to hospital. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a knife in a public place.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo stated that this is a shocking incident which has tragically resulted in one woman losing her life and another man in hospital with injuries. He expressed that the thoughts at this time are with both victims and their loved ones, who are being supported by specialist officers.
There is currently no indication of a wider threat to the public, but locals can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.
