The stunning upset came after Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette received a crucial endorsement from former President Trump just last month, catapulting her into the lead. Mace, undeterred, threw her support behind state Attorney General Alan Wilson, who will face Evette in the runoff election on June 23.
In a candid concession speech, Mace revealed that her decision to vote for the release of the Epstein files had alienated some of her supporters, ultimately costing her the election. "I voted to release the Epstein files and lost some support for that," she said, her voice laced with conviction. "Apparently, I chose wrong if the goal was winning an election."

"As a survivor, I chose to stand on principle and stand against the Epstein cover-up," she declared. "I chose to stand against child rapists. With unwavering commitment, Mace endorsed Alan Wilson, citing his law-and-order credentials as the reason for her support. "I want a law and order governor, and that law and order governor is going to be Alan Wilson," she asserted. "I think he's going to mop the floor with Pamela Evette."
