Mitsukoshi BGC is strengthening its position as an authentic Japanese retail destination by expanding its roster of dining and retail offerings tailored to the Bonifacio Global City market.
Mall leadership confirmed ongoing negotiations to introduce more Japanese intellectual property stores, though no agreements have been finalized.
The strategy follows heightened local interest in Japanese brands after the announcement of Nintendo and Pokémon stores opening elsewhere in the Philippines.

Plans also include filling gaps in the mall's restaurant lineup, with soba and udon concepts among the categories targeted for future introduction.
Tenants and suppliers are drawn to the mall's affluent BGC clientele, who seek differentiated experiences unavailable at conventional shopping centers.
While the possibility of additional branches has been acknowledged, current operations remain focused on the existing Mitsukoshi BGC location.

The mall is marking its anniversary with a series of cultural promotions running through August.
A Yukata Dressing Experience returns every Saturday from July 18 to Aug. 15, offering eligible shoppers a fitted yukata with hairstyling and light makeup.
On Aug. 29, a paper theater activity will feature Japanese papercraft kits for building layered miniature scenes. The following day, a pottery session will let guests paint and decorate ceramic pieces inspired by Japanese and Filipino motifs.
August pop-ups will highlight cross-cultural craftsmanship, including fashion made from vintage kimonos and garments using woven Philippine textiles.
A traditional ball toss game will reward shoppers with minimum qualifying purchases, with bonus turns for JCB cardholders and raffle entries for prizes including gaming consoles and camera kits.
