UMVA has learned that Hisense is slashing prices on its U6 Pro series TVs ahead of Prime Day, with the 100-inch model seeing a massive discount. The behemoth TV is now available for $2,099.99, a significant drop from its original price of $3,499.99.
This jaw-dropping deal represents the lowest price ever seen on this model, according to price trackers. But that's not all - the rest of the lineup, including the 85-inch, 75-inch, 65-inch, and 55-inch sizes, are also discounted. The 85-inch model, for instance, is now $1,099.99, a $900 savings.
The Hisense U6 Pro series boasts impressive features, including Mini-LED backlighting and local dimming, which enhance contrast and make bright highlights pop. Colors appear richer and more vibrant, and with support for Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and Filmmaker Mode, movie enthusiasts have multiple ways to enjoy their favorite films.
Sports fans and gamers will appreciate the TV's native 144Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth fast-moving action. Additional features like VRR, ALLM, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro further enhance the viewing experience. The built-in 2.1-channel audio system and integrated subwoofer deliver surprisingly robust sound, with more bass than most TVs can manage.
While Mini-LED technology still can't match the pixel-level black control of OLED TVs in a completely dark room, the U6 Pro presents a compelling case for those seeking maximum screen size without breaking the bank. A 100-inch Mini-LED TV with a native 144Hz panel for just over $2,000 is a rare find.
One potential drawback is that wall mounting may require some planning, as some ports face straight back instead of to the side. Nevertheless, if you're in the market for an enormous TV without venturing into the price range of premium OLEDs or projector setups, the U6 Pro is definitely worth considering.
