The Department of Trade and Industry has renewed its partnership with an online lending firm to fund micro, small, and medium enterprises through 2028. This marks the fourth renewal of the partnership, which began in 2018. The collaboration aims to provide funding to MSMEs, which account for about 99% of Philippine businesses. Financing remains a key challenge to the expansion of these businesses, with SME credit penetration being among the lowest in the region.
