Fiuu has secured a direct acquiring license from JCB for Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, expanding its regional presence in card payment processing.
With the license, Fiuu can connect directly to JCB’s network and handle transactions in-house, cutting out intermediaries and allowing merchants to accept JCB cards more reliably across both online and offline channels.
Chief Executive Officer Eng Sheng Guan said the development marks a key phase in Fiuu’s growth, enabling businesses to rely on a partner that blends local market insight, direct scheme connectivity, and deep operational capacity.
The arrangement gives Fiuu greater control over transaction processing, settlement, payment performance, and merchant support, leading to faster settlements, clearer transaction visibility, and a more consistent acceptance experience for JCB cardholders.
Fiuu is also pursuing extension of JCB acquisition services to Thailand, aiming to strengthen its role as a card scheme acquirer throughout Southeast Asia.
The company’s broader ambition is to offer businesses a single payment partner that delivers direct acquiring capability, local market understanding, and secure, scalable solutions.
For JCB, the partnership is expected to boost card acceptance across Fiuu’s merchant network, widening the scheme’s coverage in the region.
JCB has issued 181 million cards globally as of 2026, with acceptance at 72 million merchants worldwide, supporting a broad spectrum of retail and service providers.
Fiuu processed a total payment volume of $13 billion in 2025, reinforcing its position as a trusted regional payment partner for enterprises seeking stronger acceptance, greater operational efficiency, and broader customer reach.
