Toronto Police Investigate Break-in, Man from Clarington Charged with Attempted Murder, Seek Public's Assistance

Toronto Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a break and enter investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday at approximately 3 a.m. in the Cosburn-Coxwell Aves. area. A person broke into a home and was confronted by the homeowner, fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s, approximately 6-foot-2 with a medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt and grey Puma sweatpants. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477.

A 65-year-old man from Clarington has been charged with attempted murder and other charges after a stabbing incident in Bowmanville. On Monday around 5:30 a.m., police responded to a call and found a victim who had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was taken to a trauma centre in serious condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.

The suspect, Theadore Joseph Hall, was taken into custody without incident and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and other charges. A 17-year-old male has been charged with three counts of impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm after a collision in Clarington injured five young people. The incident occurred on April 15 at approximately 11:05 a.m. on Longworth Ave. near Jackman Rd. Six youth were injured, with four taken to a hospital with minor injuries and two taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries.

Toronto Police are seeking a man wanted for assault, who allegedly choked a victim during a verbal fight on Monday around 1 a.m. in the O’Connor Dr.-Sunrise Ave. area. The suspect, James Tryce, 18, is described as Black, 5-foot-9 with a medium build, black braided hair, and a clean-shaven face.

Toronto Police are also seeking footage of a crash in the Port Lands area on Monday, where a 59-year-old man operating a black Jeep SUV struck a female pedestrian, who was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Hamilton Police have charged two people, a 56-year-old male and a 54-year-old female, with fraud and identity fraud after an investigation into the alleged financial exploitation of a vulnerable senior. The accused are alleged to have defrauded a substantial amount of money from a vulnerable family member.
