UMVA Uncovers: BEACH TOWN WARZONE! Jersey Shore Declares Total War on Viral Teen Chaos This Memorial Day Weekend!

UMVA has learned that a growing trend of unruly teenagers taking over communities is threatening to disrupt the peace along the Jersey Shore, prompting officials to take drastic measures to maintain order.

In a bold statement, a local official, Vaz, warned that parents will be held accountable for their children's behavior, saying, "We're gonna do something to you. We're going to summon you and summon your parents," in response to teenagers who think they can act with impunity because they're not yet 18.

Last year, legislation was signed that holds parents criminally responsible for their children's behavior, with violators facing up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines. This move is part of a broader effort to quell the potential for chaos in the upcoming season.

New measures have been introduced, including a curfew that prohibits anyone under 18 from being out on the streets past 10 p.m. without a guardian. Additionally, minors must have an adult present for short-term lodging rentals. The business administrator, with consultation from the chief of police, can change the curfew if needed.

Vaz hopes that an increased law enforcement presence will bring a sense of calm to the Jersey Shore ahead of Memorial Day weekend. The goal is to promote a peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere, with a focus on community activities that cater to families.

Similar incidents involving teenagers overtaking communities are plaguing the Jersey Shore as the weather warms up. In nearby Wildwood, authorities served cease-and-desist orders to promoters of alleged unsanctioned events planned for Memorial Day weekend. The individuals are also expected to face charges for disturbance at a public gathering.

The Long Branch Police Department, in coordination with the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office and regional mutual aid partners, will maintain a strong, visible presence throughout the beachfront and downtown corridors during Memorial Day weekend. Anyone engaging in violence or disorder can expect to be arrested and prosecuted.

The chaos in Pier Village, a sprawling oceanfront community, forced 139 officers from multiple local agencies to be deployed to the scene. An emergency 8 p.m. curfew was implemented in an attempt to send the youngsters home. Video shows dozens of officers corralling the large group in the middle of the street.

City officials are taking steps to mitigate potential public safety concerns associated with these types of unsanctioned takeovers. A 10 p.m. curfew for all unaccompanied minors has been implemented, and the boardwalk will be closed to the public year-round from 1 a.m. to 5 p.m.
