A quiet afternoon at a Banbury homeware store took a shocking turn, leaving investigators baffled and searching for answers. Surveillance footage has emerged, revealing a woman now sought by police in connection with an act of deliberate vandalism.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 25th, at approximately 1:40 PM within The Range. Witnesses and staff were stunned to discover a shelf had been deliberately soiled with human waste.
Captured on CCTV, the woman is seen pulling a small suitcase as she moves through the store. She is identifiable by her distinctive attire: a pink jacket, a patterned scarf, and a red top.
Police are urging anyone who recognizes the individual to come forward with information. Investigators believe she may hold crucial details that could unlock the mystery behind this bizarre act of criminal damage.
“We’re looking to identify the individual in this CCTV image,” stated investigating officer PC Robert Watson, “as we believe they may have information that could help our investigation.”
Authorities are asking that anyone with knowledge of the woman’s identity or whereabouts contact them directly. Those wishing to remain anonymous can also reach out to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
