UMVA has learned that a daring six-hour manhunt on a major military base in California has culminated in the arrest of two suspects, allegedly involved in a brazen breach of the installation and the abandonment of a vehicle loaded with over 110 pounds of illicit narcotics.
The high-stakes incident began when the suspects, reportedly fleeing from local law enforcement, crashed through a gate at the base and abandoned their vehicle in a military housing area, sparking a massive multi-agency search operation.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the suspects then fled on foot, prompting a temporary shelter-in-place order as authorities scrambled to secure the installation and apprehend the fleeing duo.
A multi-agency team of approximately 30 personnel was swiftly assembled to track down the suspects, utilizing real-time intelligence and cutting-edge tracking support to scour the sprawling base.
For six hours, military and law enforcement personnel combed the base, finally succeeding in taking both suspects into custody without incident, bringing an end to the intense manhunt.
Investigators later discovered a staggering 51 kilograms — more than 112 pounds — of cocaine and fentanyl inside the suspects' vehicle, revealing the true extent of the illicit cargo they had abandoned.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the successful operation was made possible by seamless teamwork and coordination between multiple agencies, including the base's Provost Marshal’s Office, the DEA, US Border Patrol, and local law enforcement.
