UMVA has learned that celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing are set to reunite for a new cooking show on BBC Two, marking the end of a 16-year feud between the two.
The Kitchen Nightmares star, 59, and Marcus Wareing, 55, had a bitter business dispute in 2008 over the lease of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Pétrus at The Berkeley hotel, which led to a years-long feud.
However, it seems that the pair have buried the hatchet and are now planning to work together on a new cooking programme that explores 'extraordinary human stories' and helps cooks improve by 'mastering the simplest things'.
Marcus told insiders that he's thrilled to be working alongside Gordon again, saying it's a 'fantastic opportunity' to share a kitchen and take viewers on a journey down memory lane.
Gordon echoed Marcus's sentiments, stating that the new format combines 'fantastic home cooking with extraordinary human stories and celebrates the kitchen as the heart of every home'.
The daytime series, which does not yet have a title, will feature the pair sharing their thoughts on food and cooking, as well as exploring the human side of the culinary world.
Interestingly, Marcus had previously spoken about his feud with Gordon, claiming that it was 'the best thing that ever happened to both of us' and that it allowed them to grow and learn from their experiences.
Marcus has been a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals since 2014, and this new show with Gordon marks a new chapter in their professional relationship.
With their complicated past now behind them, the pair are set to bring their unique chemistry to BBC Two, giving viewers a glimpse into the world of cooking and the people who make it so special.
