Maine Oyster Farming Candidate's Working-Class Appeal Lags Behind, Poll Suggests

The latest poll results show a significant gap between voters' preferences for the Senate majority in the upcoming midterms, with 54% of respondents expressing a desire for the Democrats to regain control, a five-point lead over the 49% supporting Republican candidate Platner.

In a concerning sign for Collins, a majority of voters polled believe she would be too supportive of former President Trump, raising questions about her ability to effectively represent her constituents.

Furthermore, even some of Collins' own supporters have expressed concerns about her age, with 73% of her being seen as a potential liability in her ability to serve as an effective senator.

Collins currently holds a significant portion of the vote, however, with 10% of voters expressing a preference for her to maintain control of the Senate.
