TRAIN PUSH HORROR: Savage Attack Caught on Camera!

TRAIN PUSH HORROR: Savage Attack Caught on Camera!

A routine commute transformed into a terrifying ordeal for one man in Seattle, Washington, when a stranger attempted to push him directly into the path of an oncoming train.

Peter Walbrun was simply scrolling through articles on his phone at the Northgate station, lost in the digital world, completely unaware of the danger lurking just behind him.

Surveillance footage revealed a hooded figure stealthily approaching Walbrun, emerging from behind a pillar with chilling intent. The man meticulously scanned the platform, seemingly waiting for the opportune moment.

As a train roared towards the station, the hooded assailant lunged forward, attempting to shove Walbrun onto the tracks. The force of the push nearly sent him tumbling into the path of the speeding train.

Instinct took over as Walbrun fought desperately to regain his balance, bracing himself against the unexpected attack. A violent struggle ensued, unfolding mere inches from the train’s rushing wheels.

The attacker relentlessly tried to complete his horrifying act, but Walbrun managed to fend him off before the man fled the scene. The entire ordeal unfolded in a matter of seconds, leaving Walbrun shaken and in disbelief.

Police swiftly launched an investigation, identifying the suspect as Elisio Melendez, a 26-year-old man. He was apprehended near the station and charged with attempted second-degree murder.

During questioning, Melendez offered a bizarre defense, claiming the person in the footage resembled him, or perhaps a “twin that I don’t have.” His statements raised immediate concerns about his mental state.

Authorities discovered a troubling history. In 2019, Melendez was accused of stabbing his sister with a kitchen knife, facing charges of assault and domestic violence. However, the case was dismissed in 2021 after he was deemed incompetent to stand trial due to schizophrenia and a documented history of mental health treatment.

A judge has ordered a competency evaluation to assess Melendez’s current mental capacity. He remains in custody, with a $750,000 bond set, as prosecutors emphasize the extreme danger he poses to the public.

The prosecuting attorney described the attempted attack as “shocking,” highlighting the brazen disregard for human life displayed by the assailant. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable dangers that can lurk in everyday life.
