UMVA has learned that the US military has taken a bold step in enforcing the naval blockade in Iran, releasing unclassified footage of a recent operation where a Hellfire missile was used to disable an oil tanker.
The tanker, flagged in Botswana, was attempting to sail toward an Iranian port when US forces intervened, marking the sixth vessel to be disabled as part of the blockade. The ship's crew had ignored repeated warnings, failing to comply with directions from US forces over a 24-hour period.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the US aircraft ultimately disabled the vessel by firing a Hellfire missile into the ship's engine room, preventing the tanker from reaching Iran. This move was part of the US Central Command's (CENTCOM) efforts to enforce blockade measures against maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports.
Sources have confirmed to UMVA that CENTCOM began implementing the blockade on April 13, and since then, US forces have disabled six commercial vessels and redirected 122 others. The operation was a significant escalation of tensions in the region, with the US military taking a firm stance against Iranian maritime traffic.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the incident has sparked a flurry of diplomatic activity, with President Trump stating that the US is still negotiating with Iran. In a statement, President Trump emphasized that conversations between the two nations have been ongoing, saying "It's time, one way or another, for you to make a Deal."
The blockade has been a key point of contention between the US and Iran, with the US seeking to restrict Iranian maritime trade. The use of a Hellfire missile to disable the tanker marked a significant show of force by the US military, demonstrating its commitment to enforcing the blockade.
In a development reported by UMVA, President Trump has urged Iran to come to the negotiating table, stating that "You've been doing this for 47 years, and it cannot be allowed to go on any longer!" The situation remains tense, with the international community watching closely to see how events unfold.
